With 30 years of experience across the UK’s largest energy transmission organisation, the BBC and as the founder of a social enterprise, I have spent the past 13 years leading sustainability transformation at scale.
My experience includes developing and delivering net zero strategies, embedding circular economy principles and driving biodiversity and environmental improvements across multi-million-pound construction programmes.

Across £510m of UK infrastructure projects, we proved a simple but powerful fact, when you put a carbon lens around design and delivery, cost reductions follow—without exception.
By embedding whole-life carbon thinking into governance, design, and delivery, we achieved a 33% carbon reduction across the programme and a clear commercial return, every 10% cut in carbon delivered a 6% reduction in cost
What Made It Work

Success was made possible by strong leadership and collaboration across clients, designers, contractors, and suppliers. Clear carbon baselines and reduction targets, embedded into project governance. Supply-chain incentives rewarded innovation and lower-carbon solutions. Engaged internal teams, were fully trained and accountable for sustainability outcomes.
